How to Make Cottage Cheese Flatbread
- Making this soft and fluffy flatbread is easier than you think! With just a few steps, you’ll have a warm, golden flatbread ready to enjoy. Follow this simple method for perfect results every time.
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add olive oil and any optional seasonings like garlic powder or herbs.
- Mix everything together until a rough dough forms. If it’s too dry, add a teaspoon of water or Greek yogurt for extra moisture.
Step 2: Knead & Rest
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface.
- Knead for about 3–4 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes—this helps relax the dough for easier rolling.
Step 3: Roll Out the Flatbread
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions.
- Roll each piece into a thin circle (about ¼ inch thick). If it sticks, dust your rolling pin with a little flour.
Step 4: Cook to Perfection
- Heat a non-stick skillet or cast-iron pan over medium heat.
- Place one flatbread in the pan and cook for 1–2 minutes, until bubbles form and the bottom is golden.
- Flip and cook the other side for another 1–2 minutes. Press down lightly with a spatula to ensure even cooking.
- Repeat with the remaining flatbreads.
Step 5: Serve & Enjoy
- Once cooked, brush the flatbreads with olive oil or melted butter for extra flavor. Serve warm with your favorite dips, toppings, or as a wrap for sandwiches.
